In our enclosure you can see a huge variety of birds at different times of the day. The biggest spectacle takes place between 6 and 7 in the morning, a time when numerous species of psittacines come to the clay lick in front of our cabins in the jungle to eat clay as part of their daily diet in the form of a mineral supplement, which is used to neutralize the toxic effects of some of the fruits they eat. Among the species that we observe daily in the clay lick, are the severe macaws, or maracanas (<\/span>Ara severus<\/i><\/b>), dusky-headed parakeets (<\/span>Aratinga weddellii<\/i><\/b>) and blue-headed parrots (<\/span>Pionus menstruus<\/i><\/b>), among others.<\/span><\/p>

Moreover, within our facilities we have areas covered with a type of native bamboo called \u201cpaca\u201d, which is thorny and inhabited by countless birds. In the afternoon we can see herons on the banks of the Tambopata river and a flock of yellow-rumped caciques (<\/span>Cacius cela<\/i><\/b>), macaws (<\/span>Ara macao, Ara chloroptera y Ara ararauna<\/i><\/b>) and numerous species of parrots flying over the sunset.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The views are stunning and the accommodation perfect and much better than I expected. The staff are what made my stay perfect.
